My take on the complete 2020 web development Bootcamp by Angela Yu Udemy ~ Review
I took this course in April 2020 and completed it in about 4 to 5 months. Before buying this course, I was familiar with programming concepts as I was in my first year of computer science undergrad. I won’t be taking much of your time and get straight to the review. I will be writing this in a series of questions and answers.
Q. How was the course overall?
The course was really well structured with high-quality videos, resources, and material. The instructor taught everything so well and organized. I didn’t find anything hard to absorb at any stage of my learning. Apart from that the course with packed with several projects for each topic we covered to get better hands-on practice. Please if you do take this course in the future, do practice side by side along with lectures else you might end up getting stuck badly. Now after taking this course, I am able to build basic websites and applications such as a to-do-list app, blogging websites, note-taking apps, personal portfolios, and much more. However, it doesn’t mean that you can build everything after taking this course as it will require much more practice and knowledge. I will rate this course 9 out of 10.
Q. Should I take this course with zero programming knowledge?
It won’t be very difficult if you have zero programming knowledge however knowing it will definitely give you an edge to absorb concepts faster. Don’t worry once you start to code and practice it efficiently, it will be a matter of days to become good enough to do well with the course.

Q.What should be my learning strategy for this course?
Practice along with the tutorials and don’t leave anything behind. If you don’t understand some concept, try again and again until it's done, and don’t move to the next concept till then. Try doing projects on your own and don’t rush through all the tutorials just for the sake of finishing them. Keep a record of things you did and the concepts you learned. I don’t recommend them writing on a notebook as it would get too hard to write everything on it. Keep a clean folder of projects you did and also copy pastedown things which you use again and again such as the starter code and if there is any concept that you might want to revise later, write or type that down somewhere.
Q. Is this the best course available online for web development in 2020?
It is a bit difficult to tell but surely this is one of the best courses available online. I personally had a great learning experience and that is why I’m writing about it here. I just paid 11$ for the course and it taught me things much more worthwhile.
